I was terribly sad to learn about the passing of long-time friend and client New Mexico State Senator Bill O'Neill. Bill was an old-school progressive (and powerhouse) politician with the soul of a poet. I met Bill as he began to juggle his political work and burgeoning publishing career. We were introduced by Hosho McCreesh, another long-time friend and client of mine, who happened to be a constituent of Bill's. I was honored to support Bill as his novels Short Session and Panoramic Diaries (2020), his poetry collection The Definition of Empty (2021), and his play Save the Bees (2022) were released/produced, and I was thrilled to to engaged in far ranging conversations with him on This Podcast Will Change Your Life, the Story Forward podcast, and at the 2023 Printers Row Lit Fest, among other places.
